14-19 Leadership and Management Development Programme
Leaders and managers of 14-19 consortia everywhere are facing the challenges of working together in new ways to implement Diplomas collaboratively. The Learning and Skills Improvement Service (LSIS) and National College for School Leadership (NCSL) can support you in this by providing a far-reaching and flexible programme of support. The programme has evolved from our offer of support to Gateway 1 consortia and been further refined in line with feedback from Gateway 2.
Support for leaders - from gateway to delivery and beyond
- At the heart of our service is a Consortium Adviser whose role is to help you to explore your readiness for Diploma implementation, identify areas for consortium development and introduce you to aspects of our programme and the support that is offered by a range of workforce partners that can help you as you work towards successful Diploma implementation. Consortia delivering Diplomas from September 2009 will be familiar with the role of the consortium leadership consultant. Consortium adviser is the new name for this enhanced role.
For more information about the Consortium Adviser role please download our new brochure
-
Contact details and a short profile of your own Consortium Adviser can be found by using the link in the shortcut menu: 'Find Consortium Adviser'.
The summer round of consortium conversations are currently being held involving you, your Consortium Adviser and, if possible, a local authority representative. The conversation will cover your support needs across the range of aspects of Diploma implementation and workforce groups, not just leadership and management.

- For those of you who have started to deliver Diplomas in September 2008 you can continue to access support throughout the coming year.
The support available in 2009-10 to prepare for implementing Diplomas from 2010 is presented in the DCSF publication, Consortium Support Guide.
